A thing I have
learned in my life

As I reflect on my 20s, I realize that love isn’t something we measure—it’s something we give. In the relationships that shaped me—family, friendships, love—I often found myself giving without expectation, believing that love thrives in sacrifice, not balance.

But not everyone sees it this way. Some believe love should be about receiving, ensuring one’s own needs are met. Others, like me, see love as an act of selfless devotion. Which is true?

This project explores these two opposing yet equally valid beliefs:
"Love is giving" vs. "Love is receiving." By stripping love down to its essence, it invites a simple but profound question:
Do we love to give, or do we love to receive?
